My name is Krzysztof Dziegielewski. I have a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Warsaw University of Technology, and I have been working in the Power Industry for almost 30 years now. For nine years, I worked for the Polish Power Grid company PSE in Poland and then I moved to the USA to work in the Energy Management field. I want to express my gratitude to the Kolbe Center. I have watched many of your videos but after watching a debate on LifeSiteNews, I felt compelled to write to you to say thank you. The two people who opposed the Kolbe Center’s position argued that it is better to interpret the Book of Genesis in a way that won’t cause embarrassment today, given that everyone believes in the authority of the consensus view in natural science.

Your opponents offered no explanation as to why God would reveal how He created man and the cosmos in the opening words of Revelation, maintain the literal interpretation of that revelation in His Church for almost two thousand years, only to now “enlighten” His Church leaders so that they adjust the interpretation of His Word to suit the Church’s modern-day adversaries! It is sad that people can be so easily swayed, just to feel that they are smarter and to avoid the charge that they are “anti-science.” On the other hand, it is evident that their consciences are troubling them and that they do not wish to abandon their faith completely. Yet, what good does that do them? In Polish, we have a short prayer, an aspiration, that goes (in my literal translation): “I believe in You, O living God, One and True in the Trinity; I believe in what You have revealed, O God, for Your Word cannot deceive.”

I also want to say how much I like the name of your Institute: Kolbe Center. My wife, my children, and I have a very strong connection to St. Maximilian Kolbe. We were married in Niepokalanów, Poland, where St. Maximilian founded his largest monastery; and Franciszek Gajowniczek, the man for whom St. Maximilian gave his life, was a distant relative of my wife. St. Maximilian Kolbe surely supports your Center from Heaven and intercedes for you.
