Free Seminars Available – Can You Help Us Spread the Word?

Kolbe Report 1/24/26

Dear Friends of the Kolbe Center,

Glory to Jesus Christ!

As the Christmas season draws to a close, we are planning our seminar schedule for Lent and the Easter season.  If you can arrange a seminar or a presentation anywhere in the world, we will be able to provide one or more speakers for the event.  The ideal venue is the parish, but if that is not possible, a home-school coop, a school, a university Newman club, or even a private home could be a means of spreading the true Catholic doctrine of creation, the foundation of our Faith and the only firm foundation for a culture of life.  We do not charge for our seminars.  We only ask that our transportation costs be covered and that a collection be taken up, if possible, to support our apostolate.  But even that is not a requirement.  We have many recommendations from Bishops, priests and lay leaders all over the world who have hosted our seminars.  Here are a few examples:

Do you want to know why our churches are empty?  Do you want to identify the principal error that destroys the faith of our youth?  Do you want to understand how the enemies of God laid the foundations of the anti-culture of death? Do you desire to know more about truth in the world, to come to a deeper realization that Truth is not a thing but a Person, Jesus Christ, One in being with the Father and the Holy Spirit?  Do you know what sound natural science actually teaches about origins? Do you know the lies that are being taught on this topic in most public and parochial schools?  Do you know what the Fathers, Doctors, Popes and Council Fathers taught about creation in their authoritative teaching?  If you want to acquire this knowledge, come to a Kolbe Center seminar given by its Director, Mr. Hugh Owen, and his colleagues.  In an easy-to understand manner, they will present what the Catholic Church teaches and has always taught about God’s Creation, and they will demonstrate that sound natural science confirms the traditional teaching of the Church on the origin of man and the universe.

I cannot recommend a presentation by Mr. Hugh Owen and his colleagues too highly.  I am a scientist and I have a BS in Chemistry from Penn State.  I worked for about 20 years professionally as a chemist before entering the seminary.  I am also a priest in the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, in the Archeparchy of Philadelphia.  I know what the truth is from a scientific standpoint concerning Creation and Evolution.  I have also studied Philosophy and Theology at the Catholic University of America and have earned an S.T.B. (Bachelors in Sacred Theology) and MDiv in Theology, and I understand the authoritative teaching of the Church on Creation.  Mr. Owen and his colleagues have a complete grasp of the theological, philosophical and natural science aspects of the subject, and they know how to defend the true teaching of the Church on creation against modern errors.

My parishioners who came to hear Mr. Owen said such things as, “This has completely changed how I understand Creation and the errors of evolutionary thinking!”  “Wow!  Creation IS THE Pro-Life argument!”

Go, attend a presentation, and arm yourself with the Armor of God’s Truth!

Fr. Walter Pasicznyk, Pastor, Transfiguration of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church, Nanticoke, Pennsylvania

I strongly recommend that every Catholic and pro-lifer learn more about The Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation. I am firmly convinced that at the heart of the anti-culture of death is the false and anti-biblical teaching of evolution. I encourage everyone to learn more about the Kolbe Center, check out their website (kolbecenter.org), and consider inviting them to your parish or organization and host their seminar “Fiat Creation: The Only Firm Foundation for a Culture of Life.” The more Catholics and pro-lifers see the link between evolution and the death culture and reject the evolution lie, the faster we will be able, by God’s grace, to destroy the foundations of the anti-culture of death.

Fr. Stephen Imbarrato, LifeMinistriesUS

Clearly and logically, Mr. Owen exposes the underpinnings of the evolutionary theory, the tidal wave that has swept intellectual circles, impacted our worldview, and thinned our logic on every level. Communism, skepticism, the sexual revolution, “gender ideology,” selective breeding and the destruction of life have become the frightful progeny of this new religion. His presentation was fruitful for us as women, as Catholics, as contemplatives and as Benedictines. Giving primary place to the authority of scripture itself, Mr. Owen brings out the best in Patristics and the Church’s magisterial teachings in an approach worthy of scholastic Catholicity, highly informed and professional. As Benedictines committed to the cultivation of the land, we were invited to see that God is goodness and Mercy Itself. His goodness is reflected in the earth with which our work draws us in close contact, the earth we incite to sing His praise each morning in the psalms. It cannot be that He is the architect of repetitive and systematic destruction. Mr. Owen’s presentation was quite apt in making stability more real to us, rooted in the changeless (not evolutionary) Truth where our vocations are anchored.

We recently had the joy of hosting in our Seminary a series of talks about Creation and Evolution delivered by Mr. Hugh Owen and Mr. Pedro Aguado, both from the Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation. Thanks to these presentations, we have had the opportunity to clear our minds of misunderstandings about creation grounded in evolutionary theories that were clearly shown to be erroneous. We also appreciated the method used in the presentations which harmoniously integrated faith and reason, theology and empirical science. Indeed, we highly recommend these talks, which are able to “give back” to the Creator the glory that He deserves for His work of Creation, making it shine forth in all of its mystery and beauty. We wish all of those involved in the Kolbe Center every success in their apostolate.

Fr. Giuseppe Cardamone, MSP, Rector, House of Formation, “Holy Mary Mother of the Poor,” Ajofrin, Toledo, Spain

Pope Pius XII in his encyclical Humani generis exhorted those who were investigating the question of human origins to seriously weigh the reasons for opinions both favorable and unfavorable to the evolution of man’s body.  Since that time most Catholics have heard very little or nothing to challenge the current consensus in favor of an evolutionary model of human origins. The Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation is a tremendous resource for those who would like to hear the compelling evidence for the contrary position, one that accords well with the longer tradition of the Church.  The work of the Center deserves a careful hearing by all who are seeking to come to a full knowledge of the truth about God’s magnificent creation.

Fr. Robert Nortz, MMA, STL; Most Holy Trinity Monastery (Maronite), Petersham, Massachusetts

During a time in which clarity regarding a very difficult topic is necessary due to a great deal of confusion, I highly recommend the seminars given by the Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation. Having heard the seminars personally, I can testify to their orthodoxy as well as to their scientific rigor. Universities, colleges, parishes as well as any other Catholic educational body would be highly served by inviting the members of the Kolbe Center to come and give lectures pertaining to the study of creation.

Fr. Chad Ripperger, founder of the Society of the Most Sorrowful Mother, the Doloran Fathers

Perhaps even more important than these testimonies from holy priests and religious are the testimonies from young adult Catholics whose lives have been transformed by Kolbe seminars.  Not long ago I received the following testimony from a young lady who attended a seminar at a retreat center in the Midwest:

I had a profound experience when I first attended the seminar you gave for the Apostolate for Family Consecration . . . I was homeschooled and taught my Faith from the cradle, but I never knew how to interpret Genesis. To be blunt, I disliked the Book of Genesis because it always felt wishy washy and like a fairy tale. I had always been given the impression that it was unreasonable to take Genesis as history and something fundamentalist Protestants believed. I had been taught that as a Catholic, I should follow the science, which says the earth is billions of years old and that the dinosaurs are all extinct. That the stories surrounding fantastical creatures were literally just myths, like St. George and the dragon, or Beowolf. Or that Adam and Eve were not the only two people God created.

When you presented that it is completely reasonable to believe that Genesis is history, in fact a necessity for Catholics to believe, and gave all the evidence, WOW!!!! WOW. How much I still have to learn about our history!  I went to the chapel between sessions and I was filled with gratitude to the Father and Our Lord for opening my mind. It touched me to my core. Your presentation on Creation truly forever changed my perspective on the world, Genesis, origins, science and history. It’s been 4 and a half years and I continue down a very unconventional path of learning and exploration of the world. I have also been able to share the Kolbe Center with family and friends, and it’s also changed their perspectives too. Again, just all praise to God for using you as his humble pencil, and much gratitude that you have been open to proclaiming the truth.

When invited to give presentations or seminars, we ask to stay in rectories or with families, if possible, as this keeps costs down for everyone and allows us to build strong friendships with priests and laity all over the world.

I have been invited to speak at a parish in the Detroit area on Saturday, March 28, the day before Palm Sunday.  If anyone can organize a presentation anywhere between Virginia and Michigan or within a reasonable driving radius of Detroit, during the ten days leading up to March 28, please contact me at [email protected].

Through the prayers of the Holy Theotokos, may the Holy Ghost guide us all into all the Truth!

In Domino,

Hugh Owen
